Devon is a jackal demi-god, born of the god Anubis and an unknown mother. His early existence was far from divine; Devon and his fellow demi-god siblings suffered greatly under the gods’ rule, enduring physical, mental, and even sexual exploitation. For millennia, Devon bore the weight of this trauma, his trust in others fractured and his sense of self deeply scarred.
Despite his pain, Devon’s resilience became his defining trait. Over the centuries after the gods abandoned the mortal realm, he slowly worked to reclaim his identity and his freedom, vowing never to let others wield power over him again. His path eventually led him to cross paths with Theo. Theo, a charismatic demon, was instantly captivated by Devon’s reserved nature. While Theo pursued Devon for over 200 years, Devon was wary of his affections, unsure if Theo’s feelings were genuine or if he was influenced by Theo's magic. Over time, Theo’s patience, unwavering kindness, and refusal to use his powers to manipulate Devon convinced him of the authenticity of Theo's love. Their bond became the cornerstone of something greater. Together, Devon and Theo founded the Council of Realms and leading to the ultimate return of monsters and creatures to the world of mortals. Born into a world where his kind were often seen as manipulative and dangerous, Theo learned early on that his charm and allure were both a gift and a curse. When he became the Prince of his family line he swore that he would take his family in a different direction. That they would become more than the stereotypes other creatures and mortals made them out to be. While his younger sister supported his vision, many in his family line did not. Theo eventually handed the throne to his sister and set forth into the mortal world to get a better understanding of his own mission.
Theo’s early years amongst mortals was tenuous. Those who knew of his true nature feared him, so most his time was spent disguised, taking a human form. It wasn’t until he met Devon that his life among mortals began to change. Devon, a jackal demi-god, was the proof Theo needed that monsters, creatures, and demons could be more than what they were created to be. Theo fell for Devon almost immediately, and for over 200 years he courted him with patience and sincerity, determined to prove his love was not born from magic but from a genuine desire for connection. This long and careful pursuit allowed Theo to build trust with Devon, and it was through this relationship that Theo’s understanding of love, loyalty, and self-worth evolved. Though Theo is still an demon at his core, he has since refined his abilities. He and Devon became the founders of the Council of Realms, a committee aimed at creating a world where beings of all kinds could coexist peacefully. Theo’s deep love for Devon and their shared vision for a better world give him a renewed sense of purpose. Theo is often the more impulsive and passionate half of the partnership, his natural charisma tempered by a newfound wisdom.
